Example scenario: culture house
A culture house: an online request instead of a PDF price list
A made-up culture house in a small town lets its halls to clubs, societies and private events. Today the price list is a PDF and booking happens by phone.
Example scenario, not a customer story. The venue, people and prices are made up to show how Saalo works.
Where it starts
The price list is a PDF that visitors have to hunt for. A customer phones, a staff member checks the calendar and writes the price by hand.
An online request
The website has a request form. The calendar shows only free days, the customer picks a booking type (company, hobby group, private event) and sees an estimated price straight away.
Prices for different renters
In Saalo each booking type can have its own prices and a regular-customer discount. A club and a private event do not have to pay the same amount, and nobody has to read a PDF.
Recurring times and one bill
Rehearsals and club sessions are entered as a weekly series. After the event an invoice with a reference number is issued. An e-invoice XML export exists but has not yet been tested with an operator.
What this example does not claim
It is not a real culture house or a result. It only describes what the software does.
